Midnight Mulligan Brewing

Renovation, Restaurant/Retail

The Vision

Midnight Mulligan Brewing founders, had a vision to create a first class restaurant and brewery located in the old Fleming Labs building on Thrift Road in the Freemore West neighborhood in Charlotte — This rapidly redeveloping area of Charlotte is becoming a popular entertainment destination and Midnight Mulligan is set to become a cornerstone for the area.

The Project

The project was a total renovation of the existing 10,000 square-foot space formerly occupied by a chemical supplier called Fleming Labs.  Midnight Mulligan will feature many different types of beer brewed by head brewer, Jeff Bowman, but their primary focus will be on west coast beers and the modern brewpub experience.  The 10,000-square-foot brewery and restaurant has an expansive 3,000-square-foot patio with skyline views. The taproom serves a number of the beers brewed in-house as well as a simple, but elevated food menu from long-time Charlotte restauranteur, Kevin Parker.

The Grand Opening

The building now contains Midnight Mulligan Brewing and neighbor, Summit Seltzery, which have opened and are now an integral part of the Freemore West community. It was an absolute pleasure to work with the Midnight Mulligan Brewing ownership group and Spencer Architects to Create a Grand Opening for this exciting new concept.  They opened their doors in January and are off to a great start!
