Our value engineering services allow clients to achieve essential cost savings while meeting requirements for quality and reduction of life cycle costs. As part of the Value Engineering process, we conduct in-depth reviews of plans in order to maximize every dollar invested in your project. Subcontractor expertise is leveraged, and alternative building materials and techniques are explored for sources of cost savings. Quality standards are maintained throughout this process and recommendations are shared with the client and the design team.

In this phase, we’ll we work hand-in-hand with you to establish critical objectives and project dynamics at the outset. All aspects of the project, including plans, materials, schedules, and budgets, are studied in detail so that opportunities and challenges can be reviewed with the client, and ultimately the best solutions can be pursued. The pre-construction plan and proposal developed by the Doerre team includes specific recommendations on the methods of construction, materials, sub-contractors, and suppliers necessary to achieve the project’s goals, costs, and scheduling needs.

Construction

During the construction phase, the Doerre team will continually review each project benchmark in order to ensure the project remains safe, on schedule, and within budget. Regular team meetings maintain open lines of communication and keep everyone on the same page. Our proactive approach includes full-time supervision at each project to make sure that the plan is executed and construction services are aligned with goals and expectations. Project updates and meeting minutes will provide documentation on these and other important items. Another daily priority is jobsite safety, and our Doerre Safety Program assures that OSHA requirements are maintained for the project’s duration.

Documentation

We embrace communication and documentation as a fundamental part of our daily role in ensuring that every team member is informed and critical milestones are noted. From the conceptual project estimates and schedules to the superintendent’s daily report of construction activity to the project closeout cost analysis, you’ll receive documentation throughout the life cycle of the project. We also utilize a project management system called ProCore; this cloud-based information management system helps us streamline processes, track deliverables, and expedite tasks. Ultimately, we rely on proven documentation tools and processes to hold everyone accountable, and to keep you informed all along the way.

Post-Construction

Prior to occupancy, the Doerre project manager conducts a comprehensive service and quality control review to ensure that all project objectives have been met and client expectations realized. Promptly upon project completion, we will provide a complete package of closeout documents, including the Certificate of Occupancy, important contact information, warranty documents, and as-built plans/specs in both virtual (CD) and hardbound book copies. Each client is then asked to complete a customer survey addressing our performance.
