Karl E. Doerre

Visionary

“My passion is learning to be a leader and coaching my team to be better than me. It is rewarding to see others grow both personally and professionally. Whether we are working on our team, a client relationship, or a project, the goal is always to make things better.”

Karl is the founder of and visionary behind Doerre Construction. He possesses the unique ability to ask questions that add value and to head off any disruptions to the team’s success. As an active listener willing to share his 42 years of construction experience, Karl views problems as opportunities for the team to learn and grow together.

Karl grew up in Baltimore, graduating from the Gilman School. He attended NC State University and received a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a Construction Major in 1975.

Karl’s wife and mistress (Pontiac GTO) are both 1967 models.

Karl’s focus for the past few years has been in helping and serving others. This includes serving on the Board of Directors of Hospice and Palliative Care (Charlotte Region), The Harvest Center, and Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina. He is also on the Board of Trustees at Myers Park United Methodist Church, where Karl and Fonda are active members. Karl has also taken a leadership role in F3 (Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith) where he is known as the “Godfather of Core.” He will be glad to explain this to anyone who will meet him at one of their outdoor workouts at 5:30 am.
