Laurel Park Restaurant – Southpark, Charlotte, NC
The Vision
The vision for Laurel Park was to completely reimagine a familiar SouthPark restaurant location and create an elevated, welcoming dining experience that feels both timeless and new. Taking over the former Village Tavern space, the ownership team set out to establish a restaurant with its own distinct identity—one that balances warmth, sophistication, and approachability while fitting seamlessly into one of Charlotte’s most vibrant dining districts.
Doerre Construction partnered with the Laurel Park team to help bring that vision to life through thoughtful planning, clear communication, and a shared commitment to quality.
The Project
The Laurel Park project involved a full interior renovation and adaptive re-use of the existing restaurant space. From demolition through final finishes, the scope focused on transforming the layout, flow, and overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
Key components of the project included:
- Complete interior demolition and reconfiguration
- New finishes and architectural elements throughout
- Close coordination with the design team and trade partners
- Detailed scheduling and quality control to support a successful opening
Working in a high-profile, active SouthPark location required proactive problem-solving and strong on-site leadership. Our team remained fully engaged throughout construction, addressing challenges in real time and maintaining alignment with the owner’s operational goals and timeline.
