Brasserie Copain – The Bowl at Ballantyne, Charlotte, NC

Restaurant/Retail

The Vision

The vision for Brasserie Copain was to introduce authentic Parisian charm to South Charlotte, blending a full-service French brasserie with a boulangerie, pâtisserie, and market. As the flagship location for Copain Bakery & Provisions, the ownership aimed to create an elevated yet approachable space that fits seamlessly into The Bowl at Ballantyne’s vibrant dining scene. Doerre Construction partnered with the team to realize this vision through deep preconstruction involvement, transparent communication, and a focus on real-world solutions that support long-term operations.

The Project

The Brasserie Copain project involved a complete tenant build-out of a 3,100-square-foot space. Key components included:

  • Full interior fit-out with custom millwork, kitchen installations, and dining areas
  • Coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for efficient operations
  • Integration of indoor-outdoor elements, including patio seating and planters
  • Proactive scheduling and trade partner collaboration to meet aggressive timelines

Working within an active mixed-use development required strong on-site leadership and real-time problem solving. Our team stayed fully engaged to keep the project on track and aligned with the owner’s operational goals.
