Summit Seltzery

Renovation, Restaurant/Retail

The Vision

Summit Seltzery founder, Kristin Cagney, had a vision to create the first stand alone seltzery on the East Coast in the old Fleming Labs building on Thrift Road in the Freemore West neighborhood in Charlotte — This rapidly redeveloping are of Charlotte is becoming a popular entertainment destination and Summit Seltzery is set to become a cornerstone for the area.

The Project

The project was a total renovation of the existing 4,000 square-foot space formerly occupied by a chemical supplier called Fleming Labs. Summit will feature lots of different types of spiked seltzers as well as seltzer based cocktails, but the ultimate focus is on the taproom experience. With nearly 4,000 square feet, Summit has indoor and outdoor seating and an L-shaped bar.  The tap room has a minimalist feel, bright with natural light throughout and an exposed wood ceiling and accents of pink and blue.   Summit also has a 750-square-foot events space for yoga and fitness classes, charity events, birthday parties, and silent disco parties.
